We acquired a villa three years ago and commissioned Henderson Design to give it a complete update. His team worked with us, understood our thoughts, needs and interests, and delivered a fresh new look to our villa. However, we quickly found the three bedrooms of the villa were not enough for our family, so we acquired a five bedroom home, also in Hualalai. “My friends and family would tell you that I am PERFECTIONIST, but I was no match for Eric Henderson of the Henderson Design Group because he is also a Perfectionist!

Eric is so easy to work with. He listened to what we wanted, stayed within our budget, and finished the job on time. He is calm, organized, and always came well prepared for our meetings.

We have three children and he took that into account when choosing fabrics for our home; he used outdoor fabrics whenever appropriate and we even used some indoors!

Eric was responsive and always responded to our calls and emails right away. His office and support staff are incredibly thorough and organized. He sourced things in stock when he could so we never had a long lead time.

“We remodeled our City place to open up it up and integrate a modern center kitchen space into our period marina style flat.

Lots of little details to get just the right feel of modern and original throughout the space. Henderson did mainly the living room and dining room adjacent to the kitchen, but advised and helped throughout.

Henderson was great answering questions and coming up with solutions to the many odd things that come up with an older home. The paint colors throughout and window treatments did a remarkable job with the new flow of the space.

The furniture is all perfect and suited to our lifestyle and the look and feel we were after. Particularly, the living room is not that grand, but they were able to use incredible design choices, custom pieces, and floor covering that maximized the space for seating but also left open areas to the windows and rest of the flat giving us the desired spacious feel.

Great use of our art collection, moving everything around in ways we never imagined and they were able to keep a few antique pieces we wanted to save.

“What a stroke of luck! We were introduced to Henderson Design Group by an acquaintance who was familiar with his work. This introduction was the most important decision we made when deciding to buy our second home in San Francisco.

Our job was very challenging for a few reasons.

Number One being that the residence we were buying wasn’t completed; we had a skeleton, not no plaster – the entire unit was in a raw state.

Number Two was our turn around time. We had a deadline of 3 and half months and we needed EVERYTHING for EVERY room. Paint, paper, lighting, window coverings, floor coverings, AV system, furniture and soft furnishings. This included fitting out a complete kitchen, custom built units, custom walk-in wardrobe and a 750 square foot private terrace.

Inside and out, 100% of the house needed everything.

And finally, we lived in the UK and had one week to make decisions in person and the rest had to be done via email.

Eric Henderson was undaunted; taking it all in stride and accepting our job with a nary a hesitation or any lack of confidence in our timeframe.

In two days time, he learned our tastes, asked us smart questions about our lifestyle and thought of clever ways to maximize the floor plan to our advantage.

Not only did he create an exquisite home away from home for us with his suggestions of textures and colour palette, Eric thought about the architectural aspects of the unit itself. Every decision was carefully thought out with a keen eye every detail and worked well within our budget with no surprises or additional fees.

There were no mistakes and the process could not have been easier for us in any way.

This is professionalism at the highest level.

Three months later, we open the door to our home…perfect in every way and better than we ever could have imagined. The space was a lovely building and would have made a nice home for anybody. However, our home is our haven away from London and we love it more and more every visit.
